Sewing 101 - Beginner:
This class starts at the very beginning and will show you in detail how your machine works! Even if you have some experience, this class is packed with much more than the usual basics. You’ll learn a lot about fabrics and how to measure, cut, pin and sew a pillow cover including ZIPPER installation. No experience necessary and machines available for use in class.

Tote Bag - Beginner:
So simple, this tote bag goes anywhere! You'll be the envy of all your friends - until you make them one! Great for the beginner sewer, we'll practice a lot of the basics from 101, along with interfacing, lining and top stitching.

Pajama Pants - Beginner:
If you think pants are too hard - think again! These are the perfect start to understanding pant construction as well as a basic commercial pattern. We'll cover hems and elastic while basically getting a handle on those wacky looking pattern pieces. Great unisex pattern for guy or gal!

Apron - Beginner:
Here's another great gift idea for the chef in your life. A simple intro to using commercial patterns, this project will cover some cool tricks, like curved pockets, bias binding and of course hemming!

Easy Alterations - Beginner:
Highly recommended for everyone! In this class we'll work on our own clothes! Covers fit, different types of hems and hemming jeans as well as giving you tools like adding button holes and sewing on buttons the "right way".
Prerequisites: Sewing 101, practice!
Materials List: In this class you will work on your own clothes, so bring ALL of them that need repair, alteration or you have questions about (minimum 5 pieces).
**Don't worry if something seems too hard or involved. Just bring everything and we'll get to what we can - and, talk about the rest!**
Bring scissors, pins, marking pencil and measuring tape.
Bias Cut Skirt - Beginner:
So simple, this little number is a great intro to using a commercial pattern. We'll run you through understanding the terminology, layout and diagrams. Learn how to choose the right size, make simple hems and apply fold over elastic. You'll want to crank out 10 more!

Raglan Sleeve Top - Beginner:
This simple top is a great introduction to commercial patterns as well as sleeve making and hemming. It comes with 3 sleeve length options so it's perfect from season to season.

Avoid slippery, stretchy and fabrics requiring a lot of matching. Light weight, drapey fabrics work well.
Wristlet - Advanced Beginner:
It may be small, but it packs a punch full of technique! Lining a bag can be weird - throw a zipper in there and it could be trouble. Learn simple ways to master these tricks and pockets to boot. So versatile - make in any fabric!

Buttercup Bag - Advanced Beginner:
We co-opted this cutie from Rae of Made by Rae, cuz we love the little details. We're covering pleats, band, pocket and general bag with lining construction. Cute, huh?

Shirred Summer Dress - Intermediate:
We'll make this dress based on measurements without needing pattern pieces! Learn the subtleties of sewing with elastic thread - a trick you can use in a million places!
Prerequisites: 101 + a few other garments + plenty of practice!

Measure body length from armpit to where dress will end x 2 + 10".
For example, for a dress 36" long, you'll need 2 1/4 yards of (prewashed) fabric.

Messenger Bag - Advanced Beginner:
This bag design is so versatile you'll want 12! Learn some new tricks with the addition of a lined flap as well as interior pockets. Continued work on top stitching, lining and sewing on a curve.

Hand Embroidery - Any Level:
Embroidery is a fun and easy way to personalize your clothes, accessories and household items. We'll start with a stitch sampler, practice 6 basic, popular stitches as well as knots, then embroider a take-home item of your choice.

Screen Printing - Any Level:
Our step by step instructional toward printing your own tees, fabrics, bags, etc. In this class, we'll show you how to use your own image to prepare, burn and print with your own screen. We'll be doing one color prints in class, but you'll be able to apply what you've learned to much more!
