Piped Pillow - Advanced Beginner:
Now that you've gotten the basics down with 101 pillow, let's add trim! This class will cover how to make you're own piping and apply it to a knife edge pillow as well as a lapped zipper application.
Prerequisites: Sewing 101 + other class + 3 more pillows on own.
Materials List: All materials are available at TNS.
Any square or rectangular pillow insert
1/2 - 1 yard fabric, depending on size of insert
1/2 yard fabric for piping
2 1/2 yards cotton cording
Zipper (same length as bottom of insert)
Basic Curtains - Beginner:
Some of the easiest sewing you can do for yourself. Make a fun new (unlined) shower curtain and learn all the basics to curtain making. We'll cover how to match fabric panels so images line up, as well as how to measure correctly, figure out yardage, hemming and different types heading construction.

Prerequisites: Sewing 101, practice!

Mitered Blanket - Beginner:
This technique is so versatile! You can use it for blankets of any sort, placemats, table runners, window treatments . . . endless possibilities. A great chance to practice all the basics: seam allowances, straight lines, pivoting and more.
Prerequisites: Sewing 101, practice!

Box Cushion - Advanced Beginner:
One of the most common and versatile types of cushion. Use on dining chairs, window seats, patio furniture and more! Lots of tricks to learn including, piping placement, side panels, zipper placement, etc.

Prerequisites: Sewing 101, Piped Pillow + 2 more piped pillows for practice.

Cushion (no larger than 22"x22")
1 1/2 yards fabric (safe amount)
1/2 yard fabric for piping (must bring to class enough completed piping to go around cushion 2X)
Zipper (6" longer than back side of cushion)
We recommend Home Decor weight fabric that does not require matching.
Upholstery Project - Ottoman - Advanced Beginner:
This fun, simple project is going to show you a LOT about how upholstery works. Starting with a wood frame, we will construct the underpinnings layer by layer for a soft cushy ottoman, then cover it with your favorite fabric - including piping!

Prerequisites: Sewing 101, Piped Pillow, practice!
