The Almighty Zipper Foot
Everyone who’s taken our classes knows that we prefer a certain kind of zipper foot, but for anyone else possibly struggling with theirs . . .
Does is look like this?
I’m still not sure why they started making a foot like this, as it is so wide at the top that it kind of defeats the point of a zipper foot. I find it especially annoying when making anything with piping.
So, here’s the kind we like (and sell in the shop for $3.50):

You can slide it to either side of the needle and get as close as you need to. That’s why I actually use it for invisible zippers as well.
Just sayin’.

Pretty much. Singers that are more than 20 years old might have the slant shank.

Ooops, I meant to say that I totally agree. That foot is way too wide and is very frustrating to use.
